Our Commitment to Finding the Root

While we believe that the standard medical imaging services are necessary and give great images of the human body, we also believe that we can begin to find patterns in the body that will lead to injury, sickness, and disease before it happens.

Inflammation is the signal for the body that something is not functioning properly. Sometimes our bodies are in a chronic state of inflammation and can go undiagnosed. This can lead to larger and more serious problems. If we can get to the root of what is causing inflammation and where exactly it is located in the body, then we can begin to heal the body before it gets to serious complications.

What is medical thermography?

Medical thermography is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses an infrared camera to capture the heat patterns naturally produced by your body. Because the body’s surface temperature can change with blood flow and circulation, these thermal patterns can provide additional insight into what may be happening beneath the surface.

Thermography uses no radiation, no compression, and no physical contact with the body. The process is completely comfortable and painless.

Thermography can help visualize patterns associated with inflammation, changes in circulation, musculoskeletal concerns, nerve-related patterns, changes in breast tissue, and other physiological changes. By comparing thermal patterns across different areas of the body, thermography can highlight areas of asymmetry or changes that may warrant further attention.

Rather than looking only at the structure of the body, thermography is a functional imaging tool that looks at how the body is behaving and changing over time—providing another piece of information to support a more complete picture of your health.

About your thermographer

Courtney is passionate about health, wellness, and looking beyond the surface to better understand the root causes of what’s happening in the body. After 20 years of seeking answers for health issues, she found practices like thermography that helped her find the root of those issues. She is trained by Med-Hot and certified through the Institute for the Advancement of Medical Thermography (IAMT).

Through Coastal Medical Thermography, Courtney is excited to bring non-invasive thermography to the Southeast Georgia and help individuals gain greater insight into their bodies as they work toward better health and whole-body wellness.

With a lifelong passion for holistic health and preventative wellness, Courtney believes that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have when it comes to taking an active role in our health.
